
Glenn A. Ezard, 89, of Woodcrest Villa, formerly of 1018 Nissley Road, Lancaster, died November 9, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Arthur E. Ezard, Sr and Lauretta E. Ezard. He was the husband of Marie Ezard, who died in 2001. He was employed at Armstrong as a machinist for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School with the class of 1952.
He was a member of the Lancaster Chapter of the Cosmopolitan International Club, participating in charity fundraising for a variety of causes, including funding for diabetes research. He was a lifelong member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ. He enjoyed travel and camping in National Parks. He also enjoyed woodworking, especially early American style furniture.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn Ezard, Jr., married to Cindy Ezard, of Santa Monica, CA, and Jim Ezard, married to Sarah, of Lancaster, PA; a brother, Arthur Ezard, married to Phyllis, of Lancaster; two sisters, Janet Spotts and Joan Hurdle, both of Lancaster; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi Pierce and by a brother, Lawrence Ezard, both of Lancaster.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at 12:00 PM at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
