Funeral Associate

Tim joined DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory in 2021 after a 30-year career in public recycling service at the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority and the City of Lancaster. Tim worked with municipalities, businesses, and institutions to establish and maintain recycling separation and collection systems. Tim served the state and national recycling industry by serving as a past president of the Pennsylvania’s professional recycling organization and instructing professional recycling courses to peers. Tim grew up in Lancaster County and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Forest Science.

He and his wife Cher have been married for 43 years and reside in a log home they built in East Hempfield Township. They have two daughters, two sons-in-law and two grandsons who also live in the county. Tim enjoys camping, gardening, and doing projects around the house. Cher and he are active church members and enjoy traveling to Penn State football games and RV camping trips to other states.

Tim was blessed with a career promoting environmental conservation and being able to assist families during funerals is a rewarding extension of his desire to serve others.
