Fred is a retired educator, having spent 38 years in public education, teaching in Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania. Fred taught in the School District of Lancaster and finished his teaching career in the Northeastern School District of York County. After graduating from Cocalico High School, Fred completed a B.S. in Education at Ball State University, a Masters in Education from the University of Florida and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Presently, in addition to working at DeBord-Snyder Funeral Home, Fred works part-time with children with mental health diagnosis. When Fred is not working, he enjoys reading and working in his lawn growing all varieties of flowers. Fred and his wife, Kathy, live in Mountville and have one daughter, a son-in-law and two grandsons.
