Rose T. Gale

Rose T. Gale, age 94 of Tuckerton, NJ passed away  peacefully of natural causes on March 8, 2023 at Seacrest Village.  Rose was born in Tuckerton,   daughter of Louis and Rosa May Downs Targan.

She was the Food Service Manager at Pinelands Regional School District and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Rose was predeceased by her husband Melvin R. Gale, her sons Joseph A. Whitehead and Michael K. McCarthy, her stepson  Robert M. Gale, and her sister Anne L. Crowley.

Survivors include her children; William L. Whitehead, Sharon D. Mantz, Karen R. Merkl, and Frank B. McCarthy, stepchildren Bonnie L. Allen, Elizabeth A. Kruk, and Ronald D. Gale, her sister Jeanne S. Resch, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose enjoyed ceramics, knitting, cooking, and baking.  She was a caregiver to many in the community and was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was an avid collector of anything related to Mickey Mouse and Campbells Soup.  She will be missed deeply by her family, friends and everyone who knew her.

Services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church 850 Railroad Dr. Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087; friends may greet the family starting at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery Tuckerton.

In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to Calvary Baptist Church.

    it was so nice working at pinelands with her when she was the cook. i worked 18 yrs with her. one of the best ,love evie
