Patricia Joan Carey

Patricia Joan Carey, 72, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at her home in Clearfield, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Priscilla (Mullens) Montgomery. She was the loving wife of the late, Robert Allen Carey who preceded her in death on November 2, 2024.

Patricia was the adoring mother to a daughter, Jennifer Gant and a son, Jonathan Maxwell; grandchildren, Kaylah Gant, Julian Gant, Miles Gant, Parris Gant; a brother, James Montgomery and a fraternal twin sister, Pamela Schchenzuber. Also surviving are 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

She graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School and went on to study art and design. She taught ballet, tap and jazz after studying under the late Chet Zerker at Lancaster Dance Company.

In her spare time, she enjoyed floral and showcase designing, planning weddings as well as cooking, gardening, drives through the woods to relax as well as spending time with her cat, Rumsy.

Patricia was a world class seamstress and spent much of her professional career as a gown designer and enjoyed fashion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Saint Joseph’s New Roman Catholic Cemetery, 175 Charles Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday, June 21st at 2:30 PM.
