I am so saddened to learn of the death of your mom. I worked with her when she worked at Appel, Yost & Sorrentino back in the early 80’s. I knew she and your dad well and we would often go to dinner together and I would sometimes visit with them at their home. I was with your mom one of the days that your dad took the car and she couldn’t find him. She loved him so much and his dementia was hard for her to accept. I pray for your girls and your families as you say your early goodbyes to your mom.

My name is Leah, Nelson Garfield’s granddaughter by his son Stephen. We called Charlotte “Nana” and I was saddened to hear of her death. Growing up I remember her always sending cards from her and Grandpa for birthdays and holidays; and even when I got married she continued to do so for many years.

You all have been in my prayers since I learned of her death. I will always remember her fondly.

    With sincere condolences,
    Leah Gonzalez (Garfield)
