I have known Yvonne for the past 7 years because my mother and I were her Monday Meals on Wheels visitors. She was one of the dearest people I have ever known in my life. I will miss her. I am sorry for your loss, Gary.

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for your kind words. I know how much your delivering Meals on Wheels meant to my mother, not to mention your warm heart and caring friendship.

Condolence from Gary and Suzie Johnson on May 17th, 2017 2:06 pm

Gary, I did not know Yvonne real well, but remember seeing her sweet face in church, especially when we attended Traditional service and I sang in the chancel choir. However, my husband, Gary and I have been very involved with our Worship Team for our Contemporary Service for many years now, so I have missed seeing some friendly faces from the Traditional service. We’ve been members since 1981, being pregnant with our daughter and raising her and our two boys in FUMC.
We extend our sincere sympathies to you . Your Mother was a very sweet lady who lived a great life in the eyes of God. Reading about her, she reminded me of my mother-in-law, who also loved the Phillies baseball, and Penn State football. My father-in-law, our eldest son, his wife, 3 nephews and one niece are all Penn State grads! So, We Are Penn State!
So sorry for your loss, and blessings and love to you with comfort and peace. Your Mother was a blessing to our church family.

Condolence from J. Gary Sparks on May 25th, 2017 12:32 pm

Thank you Gary and Suzie,

The Church was one of the centers of our family as I was growing up in Lancaster, and your comments are soul food.

Condolence from Brittany on May 20th, 2017 10:08 am

Yvonne has been our neighbor for the past 7.5 years. She was a very sweet person. Very loving. Always asked about our children. They loved going to visit her. She will definitely be missed.

Condolence from J. Gary Sparks on May 25th, 2017 12:34 pm

Dear Brittany,

Thank you for your condolence, Brittany. Even in the last days of her life, my mom was asking, “how are the neighbors, how are the neighbors?” Your friendship was very important to her.
