Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Tom and I worked together at the USPS as mailhandlers from 1993 until he retired. He loved cars so much but he had a lot of accidents, even at work, he remarked once that he had more than one a week that year. ( That number included both on and off the job.) This was from a man that drove a forklift and tugger at work, loading trailers and getting mail from inside the building to the dock. Tom loved to cook and often brought food to work to share. He was a big part of our lives and it was our blessing to have known him.

Condolence from Cappy Panus on May 17th, 2020 10:22 am

Joan,Laura and Tim
We are so sorry to learn of Tom’s passing. Our fondest memories of Tom come from the EP swim team meets.
He exemplified how a parent supports his children in athletics. He helped in whatever capacity was needed by the team and always had a positive outlook for all the EP swimmers.
Joan you lost a wonderful husband and Laura and Tim a great Dad!
There is no doubt that he will continue to “cheer “the family on as you move on without his physical presence. His spirit is alive and well in your hearts and memories.
Peace to you all in this most difficult time.
The Panus Family

His friendly manner and his enthusiasm were earmarks of the kind person he was. I shall miss him. My sympathy to you and your family.

Condolence from Jim Riedel on May 17th, 2020 8:31 pm

I am so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I was born and raised in Lancaster and started at the Lancaster Post Office in where I met Tom. I repaired the mail sorting equipment that Tom operated and I always gave him hell when it broke. I told him it was always his fault!! And a night didn’t go by without him bitching about how Penn State should have done this and why didn’t they do that. I transferred to Oklahoma in 1995 so I haven’t seen him since then. but his day to day friendliness will always be a memory for me. My prayers are with you all.

Condolence from Primo on May 18th, 2020 12:16 pm
