
Sylvia J. Flowers, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on June 22, 2013 at the Mennonite Home Communities.
She was the wife of the late Ray J. Flowers. Born in Bedford, England she was the daughter of the late Eric James and Ada Phoebe (Braithwaite) Goldsmith.
Sylvia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in Millersville. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and dancing.
Surviving is a daughter, Dianna wife of Albert Koening; a son, Paul husband of Connie (Wennerholt) Flowers; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Clive husband of Betty Goldsmith of Bedford, England, and a sister Pamela Jacobson of Lawrenceville, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister Josie Goldsmith.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA with Chaplain Dorcas Martzall officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Dianna I am so very sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was a great person and such a hoot to be around, I bet she will be in heaven also, I think God called her home to liven things up a little!
