Paul W. Steffy, 93, passed away on August 12, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. He was the loving husband of the late Sara J. (Ritter) Steffy.
Born in Lancaster, PA., he was the son of the late Witmer and Wilda (Asper) Steffy.
After graduating from high school, Paul spent much of his career with Hamilton Watch in its shipping department.
In his spare time, he enjoyed attending automobile races at The Reading Fairgrounds and Lincoln Speedway. Paul always enjoyed talking and joking with family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Paul E. Steffy (husband of Judi); 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Paul at Graveside, on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery, 6279 Main St, East Petersburg, PA 17520. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
Paul will be sorely missed at the Gardens of Campbelltown. He was the welcoming face of the home and when he is not in the lobby on his chair people ask where he is. I have known him for more than 5 years now, ever since my mother became a resident there. Even though she has been gone for the past 3 years I have continued to go over there every Saturday to help with activities and to take treats to Paul. He liked the cookies, pie, cake, brownies, pretzels, chips, tomatoes, and bologna.
May Paul now join with all his friends that have gone before him. God Bless you Paul.
Paul,
Please accept our condolences and sympathies over the death of your father. I was unaware of it until Uncle John, Aunt Doll’s husband, told Patti over the weekend.
Been a while, but Patti and i are still kicking, just not as high anymore.
Your cousin,
Kenn
