Patricia E. Sanders

Patricia E. Sanders, Lancaster, PA

Patricia E. Sanders, 79, of Stumptown Road, Lancaster, passed away at home on August 22nd, 2012. Pat and her husband Robert J. Sanders celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 28th.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl Harmon Mentzer. Pat was a homemaker who raised six children. She enjoyed traveling, shopping trips to New York City, reading, Broadway shows and musicals, and spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband Robert J., are six children: Janice Hershey, Lancaster; Jean Sanders, Lancaster; Robert C. Sanders, husband of Lisa Sanders, Lancaster; Kevin Sanders, Lancaster; Barry Sanders, Lancaster; and Karen (Sanders) Anuscavage, wife of John Anuscavage Jr., Lititz. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three sisters; Rose May Wettig, Jane Huntoon, and Carol Borden. Pat was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Mentzer and William Mentzer, and two sisters Joyce Cochran and Margaret Hiepler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, on Monday, August 27th, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Daniel Mitzel officiating. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:00A.M. until the time of Mass.
