Virginia R Scheuing

Virginia R. Scheuing, 97, of Lancaster, passed away on March 24, 2024 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.  She was the loving wife of the late Charles R. Scheuing who preceded her in death in 2011.

Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice (Stokes) Renard.

After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, she worked for various employers including Woolworths, Sears and Roebuck, Fulton Bank, JW Durham, and EN Dunlap, Inc.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her adoring family.

Virginia was a lifetime member of Pearl St., United Methodist Church where she was a primary Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, and led the Carol choir for 32 years.   

She is survived by her children, DeLene Parmer (wife of Stephen) of Conestoga and a son, Keith Scheuing (husband of Wendy), of Mount Joy; grandchildren, Bethany Landgraff, Justina Ellis, Matthew Scheuing and Jessica Nieli, and eight great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Alice Eller.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM.  A closed casket visitation will occur from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Conestoga Memorial Park.  To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit:  www.DeBordSnyder.com
