Victoria Eichelberger, 74, of Lancaster, PA, passed away April 18, 2020 due to her brief illness with COVID-19.
Born in Mobile, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Wilson Clement Grubb and Mary (Echterling) Grubb.
She was the loving wife of Robert L. Eichelberger Jr. with whom she shared 40 years of marriage before his passing in 2006. She is survived by daughter Wendy L. Serfass wife of Shawn, and son Robert L. Eichelberger III companion of Robin Mullins. Also, two Granddaughters Miranda Eichelberger and Nicole Serfass. And her sister Christine Miner, wife of the late Donald Miner of Lancaster.
She attended Lancaster Catholic High School. Vicki was a school bus driver for Pequea Valley school district in the 70’s and 80’s and the students she drove, remember her as fun. She also contributed to the Intelligencer Journal covering school board meetings and contributing other stories and pieces. She always had a passion for antiquing and later turned that hobby into a part time job.
Vicki enjoyed spending time with her husband, riding horses, kayaking, antiquing, and going to the bay. She had many wonderful memories at the bay especially with her family and granddaughters, whom she took on a special trip every year just the three of them. She was known for her practical jokes which she played on everyone and often. She was fun like that. She had a spirit for enjoying life in each moment, always had a smile, and was a genuinely happy person. We will miss her dearly.
Due to the circumstances and mom’s wishes, there will be no service. We want to thank all our families and friends for their support. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made to The Alzheimers Association in her honor.

Vicki was my bus driver and we adored her! I remember her love for the smell of fall leaves and we used to bring them to her when we got on the bus. She was a caring and fun individual. We had gone by the house a few times later on just to see her. I will never forget her!

Wendy and Robbie, so sad to read about Vicki’s passing. We got along so well at the antique shop. Once she left there, work was no longer fun. Many customers asked about her leaving work. She had time for all of them, from the little kids to the old time antique lovers. She shared her knowledge of the trade and was super friendly to everybody. We wore big straw hats decorated with fake flowers on “Derby Day”. Working with her was always a good time! She was never late for work and her cash drawer was always correct to the penny. When a guy would talk to her at length, I’d tease her . Your dad was truly the love of her life and she said no other man could compare to Bobby. She appreciated her daily morning calls from you, Wendy. I regret that I did not keep in contact with her once she moved out of Strasburg. She was a great friend for many years and I should have done better. It really makes me so sad. On this upcoming Mother’s Day remember that she loved both of your dearly. You have my deepest sympathy. I moved out of Strasburg and back to the Pittsburgh area about five months ago. Take care of each other and your girls . Sue

I played the piano at the nursing home where she was the awhile. When I played hymns, and saw her singing, it brought joy to my heart. My heart is sad to read that she has left us. The piano lady
