Thomas M Johns, 64, died peacefully in his home in Columbia on Friday, June 9, 2023.
Born in Lancaster County to the late Ira K Johns and his surviving mother, Eileen Johns of Willow Street.
He attended Hempfield High School, Class of 1977.
Recently retired from his auto repair business he shared with his cousin for nearly 40 years, Bender’s Garage in Landisville.
Tom participated in many activities, mainly Auto Racing – Drag Racing, Dirt Track Racing, and Go-Kart Racing. He earned many trophies for his wins at the local race tracks. Tom also loved playing softball, bowling, volleyball, boating, camping, & fishing.
He will be missed tremendously by his loving wife, Lorrie A Johns in Columbia, son, Eric Johns, husband of Hollie of York, daughter, April Hennessey, wife of Sean Hennessey of Lancaster and grandson, Caspian Hennessey of Lancaster. Tom also had three brothers: Kenneth E Johns, husband of Patsy, James M Johns, husband of Debbie, and Stephen Johns, husband of Rose. He leaves behind two nephews, three nieces, 1 great nephew and one great niece.
Friends are welcome to visit the family to share fellowship and memories Thursday Evening, 6pm-8pm at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 141 East Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602
