Theresa J. (“Terri”) Royer

Theresa J. (“Terri”) Royer, 79, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at her home.
She was the loving partner of Elois Warfel for 37 years.
Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Hawthorne. She was raised in Elizabethtown and graduated from Hempfield High School, class of 1962.
After working various jobs at General Cigar, Schick and part-time at the Skyvue Drive-In, Terri entered nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse, spending the majority of her career as a mental health nurse at St. Joseph Hospital/Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
Terri will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her sociability, sense of humor and love of chocolate marshmallow ice cream. She enjoyed swimming, watching news, and she was a devoted fan of “Days of Our Lives”. Terri loved attending family gatherings, listening to music, camping with her family and traveling, especially to Cape May, Myrtle Beach, and Florida.
She will be missed by her two daughters, Darlene (wife of Veronica Rivera) Davenport, FL and Deborah (partner of Steve Bolusky) Ashland, PA, and her two grandchildren, Allison Eberly (fiancée of Thomas Cerrito), St. Louis, MO and Andrew Lescosky, Jr., Springfield, MO.
She is also survived by three siblings, Penny Rager (wife of Dwight), Lancaster, PA; Jennifer Hooper (wife of Fred), Lititz, PA; and John Hawthorne, Jr., Springfield, OH, as well as five nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews.
Following her wishes, services will be observed privately by her family.
