Terry L. Mentzer, 61, of Lancaster, was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 13, 2009.
Born in Reamstown, he was the son of the late Eugene B. and Alverta Miley Mentzer.
Terry was employed in retail sales most of his life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. His interests included traveling and old time movies and he had the privilege to personally meet Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett. He enjoyed nature and all of God’s creation.
He was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Mentzer Diffenderfer and by a brother Barry Mentzer. He is survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Duke and Walnut Streets, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Dr. Kent E. Kroehler officiating. Friends may greet the family following the service. Private interment in the Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Terry’s memory may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
