Shirley M. Miller

Shirley M. Miller, 87, of Lancaster, entered God's eternal care on April 13, 2024 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy.  Shirley was born February 24, 1937 in Codorus Township, Pennsylvania to the late Earl and Kathryn (Walker) Bosley.  She was the loving wife of Robert L. Miller, who preceded her in death in 2019.       

Shirley is survived by her children, Sandra J. Miller (Frank Menniti) of Old Saybrook, CT; Jeffery R. Miller (Marie) of Bailey, NC; and David S. Miller of Lancaster; and her four grandchildren, Peter and Christina Menniti; Jason Stella; and Janice Miller.  Also surviving are her siblings JoAnn Manahan, Norma Dell, and Preston Bosley.  She was predeceased by her brother Richard Bosley. 

Shirley graduated from Susquehannock High School and married Bob in 1955.  She was a homemaker who took pride in creating a place where she and Bob could welcome family and friends.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, sewing and needlework, and tending to her flower beds.   She was an enthusiastic reader and especially enjoyed historical fiction.  

Shirley was a long-time member of Church of the Apostles UCC in Lancaster.

A memorial service will be held at Church of the Apostles, 1850 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, with the Rev. Kathryn L.
