Juan Ruperto Rosado Ramos, age 97; son of the late Pablo Rosado and Margarita Ramos died on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at home after a long illness.
He was born on April 16, 1925 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, and was a resident of Lancaster since May of 2011.
Ruperto was the husband of Antera Velazquez Acosta who pre-deceased him. He was also pre-deceased by his three brothers and five sisters, as well as his son Juan Pedro Rosado and daughter Socoro Acosta and his grandchildren Hector L. Rodriguez, Gladys M. Velazquez, Rafael A. Martinez and followed in death by grandson Luis A. Rodriguez.
He is survived by his brother Fernando Rosado, his children, Iris M. Rosado, Alicia Rosado, Carmen L. Rosado, Luciano Rosado, Ismirna Rosado, Feliciano Rosado, Maria I. Rosado – who cared for him, Margarita Rosado, Diosdado Rosado, Maria P. Rosado, Marigel Rosado, (adopted and first grandchild) Luis R. Rosado and another daughter Lucy Cordero, 40 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren give or take and counting and 35 great-great grandchildren give or take and counting.
A time of visitation will take place at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory at 141 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA on Monday evening July 25, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Iglesia Catolica San Juan Bautista, (San Juan Bautista Catholic Church) at 425 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA beginning at 11:00 A.M. A time of visitation will take place before the mass beginning at 9:30 A.M. and ending promptly at 10:30 A.M.
