Ronald S. Smith, 64, of Columbia, died at home on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
Born in Eldorado, IL, he was the son of Flora E. Bond Smith of Spring Hill, FL and the late Ray B. Smith.
Mr. Smith had been employed in the construction industry for many years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion in Marietta and the Susquehanna Beneficial Association. He enjoyed reading and earlier in life was an avid hunter.
Surviving besides his mother is a brother, Randall Bruce husband of Cindy Smith of Willow Street.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
