Robert H Ritter

Robert H. Ritter, 91, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on June 18th, at Moravian Manor, Lititz, PA, after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Dottie Ritter, who predeceased him in 2023. He was the son of Harold and Beatrice Ritter. He is survived by his children, Claudia and Matthew Ritter.

He graduated from McCaskey High School, and met Dottie there, and they were married in 1955. He served in the Army at Fort Knox. He worked at Fulton Press his whole life, first as a pressman and then as an estimator.

He was a quiet, polite man, with enormous stamina. Throughout his life, he developed many interests and pursued them assiduously. Some of them were building airplane and ship models, making paper airplanes, gardening, riding bike, and running. He completed the Philadelphia Marathon in 1981 at the age of 47. He read voraciously on many topics. He became an Eagles fan at the age of 8 and never wavered. He faithfully drove his family to church every Sunday and to Ocean City, NJ, every Summer.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, July 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Mountville Church of the Brethren, 60 Clay St., Mountville, PA, 17554. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Moravian Manor or Masonic Village Hospice.
