Richard C. Hawk, 61, of Lancaster, PA died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Hamilton Arms Center, Lancaster,
PA. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of Wilbur C. and the late Veronica (Lakston) Hawk, San Antonio, FL. In addition to his father, Rich is survived by his wife of 25 years, Beth (Reese) Hawk; a son, Kevin M., of Warrington, PA; two brothers Brian E. of Downingtown, PA and William C. of Altamonte Springs, FL; and two sisters, Patricia (Hawk) Baun of Royersford, PA and Janice E. Hawk of Groveland, FL; a grandson Ethan; and nieces and nephews.
He was a Senior Equity Manager for the former Hamilton Bank in Lancaster, PA and President and Owner of his own business, Blue Rock Search Company, Millersville, PA. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Rich was a recipient of The Army Commendation Medal, The Air Medal, The Bronze Star Medal, and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action in The Republic of Vietnam, January 1970. Rich was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA. The stock market was his hobby as well as his profession. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia 76’ers, the Eagles, and Phillies. He also enjoyed playing poker, was an avid fisherman, coin collector,
and owner of a 1966 Chevy Malibu Super Sport classic car that he enjoyed showing at local car shows. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a life celebration to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 South Duke Street, Lancaster, PA, on Tuesday, December 21st at 11:00 am. Pastor Timothy A. Mentzer will officiate and Pastor Sadie Pounder will offer the homily. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery immediately following the service.
