Paul R. Heisey, 74, of Akron, passed away on July 26, 2023 at Maple Farm Nursing Center. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Clayton N. and Hilda Mae (Sneath) Heisey.
After graduating from high school, Paul enlisted in the US Marine Corps where he proudly served his country. Following his military service, he joined PPL and worked his way up during his career to the role of Commercial Meter Installer.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, biking, kayaking, playing basketball, car shows and car culture, bird watching, frequenting Ocean City, NJ, and spoiling his grandson. He had a love for nature. He also could have been a contender at going pro for playing the card game War.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Heisey of Willow Street and his son, Josh Heisey of Redmond, WA; and a grandson, Isaiah Heisey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Stehman Church, 485 Indian Run Rd, Millersville, PA 17551 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A closed casket visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment to follow in Greenfield Cemetery.
