Miguel A. Torres, 63, of Lancaster, left this Earth to be with God on Saturday April 8

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on May 1

, 1959, he was the son of the late Enrique and Sonia (Rosa) Torres.
Miguel is survived by his children Miguel Torres, Michael Torres, Tasha Torres, Sonia Torres, Angel Torres, granddaughters, grandsons, and great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings Irma, Enrique, Maria, Gladys, Jose, Wanda, Osbaldo, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Miguel would often express gratitude regarding his family, as this meant more than gold to him. He especially held heavy regards for the younger generation of his family, as they are the pillars that will carry our mantle of love and grace.
Miguel spent nearly his entire professional career as a proud mechanic and asphalt paver. He continued to work up until he could not anymore; a true testament to his work ethic, of which was admirable to say the least!
Miguel was an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend to all that called on him. He was light-hearted and sweet, always had a smile on his face and kind words for his loved ones. He was a strong believer of not sweating the small things, and laughed every chance that he could. He was one of the best dominoes players and was always up for having a good time. His smile and laughter could light up a room, as he carried this infectious persona everywhere he went.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E Orange St, Lancaster, Pa on Friday April 14

, 2023 at 1pm. A viewing will be held from 9am until the time of the service. Interment will be following in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to Gladys Ortiz to help cover costs.
