Michael Ray Williams

Michael Ray Williams, 84, of Ephrata, passed away on December 14, 2025, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. He was the loving husband of Judith P. Williams, to whom he was married for 20 years.

Born in Springfield, OH, he was the son of the late E. Ray Williams and Florence (Eagleton) Williams.

After graduating with a Doctor of Ministry degree, he spent much of his professional career as a United Methodist pastor and a college professor. In his earlier years he had a stint playing professional baseball as a pitcher with the New York Mets.

In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting clocks and was a model railroad enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, Judith, he is survived by children, Stephanie Williams (wife of David White), of Calabasas, CA,and Kimberly McSherry (wife of Mike), of San Diego, CA. Also surviving is a sister, Raelynn Vrooman, of Marietta, OH.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522 on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the address listed above.
