Marjorie S. Morris, 97, formerly of Penns Grove, NJ, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Arborview, Willow Valley. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Matilda Cook Sparks. She was the wife of the late William M. Morris who died in February of 1987.

Marjorie graduated from the New Jersey State Normal School, which is now The College of New Jersey, with a teaching degree. She taught kindergarten for ten years in Penns Grove, NJ and then left full-time teaching to raise her family. She continued to do substitute teaching for several years. Marjorie was an active church volunteer at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Penns Grove, NJ and also sang in the choir. She moved to Willow Valley Manor in 1986 to be close to her family. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and traveling, both in the United States and abroad with the friends she made at Willow Valley.

Surviving are: a son, Roger C. husband of Janice Morris of Lancaster, PA; a stepson, William M. Jr., husband of Peggy Morris of Heathsville, VA; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Jack Orr Auditorium at Willow Valley Manor, 211 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA on Friday, February 26th, at 10:30 AM, followed by a luncheon. Friends and family will be received after the service. Private interment will be held in Emmanuel Cemetery, Penns Grove, NJ.
