Margaret “Peg” Hosker (nee Pascucci) passed peacefully into the Lord’s presence on October 14, surrounded by the love of her large family. Born in Portland, Maine, Peg spent her childhood in nearby Sanford. She was the valedictorian of her high school class and graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Portland. She served as a registered nurse before her full time career of caring for her family.
Peg was well-loved as she loved so well. Her husband, Bill, five children, their spouses, and 14 grandchildren can attest to her wide devotion and deep faith. She was known for her extraordinary and accepting heart for others. Her culinary skills were legendary, cooking up delicious feasts and a spread of desserts. Throughout her 86 years, she taught Bible studies for countless women, serving as the Chairwoman of the Christian Women’s Club. Peg was beloved for her amazing wit and godly wisdom. Her hospitality, generosity, and selflessness defined her soul.
Peg and Bill lived in several states before retiring on the Chesapeake Bay in Oxford, Maryland, where family gathered to enjoy its beauty, sunsets, fishing, and boating. They returned yearly to her home state of Maine to enjoy the ocean, visit their sisters, and savor her “lobsta” dinners. Together, Peg and Bill built a legacy of faith and friendship which sustained them over 64 years of marriage.
Peg is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Hosker, her five children and their spouses: Ellen and Dean Musser, Susan and Thomas Lawrence, Andrew and Jean Anne Hosker, Jeanne and (the late) Brian Beldyk, Janet and Henry Holguin. She also leaves behind 14 adored grandchildren: Claire (Chris) Gramlich, Stephen Musser, Meg (Ben) Cooper, Kyle Lawrence, Luke (Miranda) Lawrence, Victoria Lawrence (fiancé Connor Ott), Marissa (Kevin) Tanner, Alex (Katherine) Hosker, Jenna Hosker (fiancé Matt Palumbo), Justin Beldyk, Julia Beldyk, Olivia Beldyk, Mary Holguin and Katherine Holguin. Six great grandchildren - Teddy, Tommy, Paul, James, Archer, and Louise- were blessed to have known her. Peg is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janet Farmer. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews whom she loved. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Gauthier, and her brothers-in-law, James Farmer and Al Gauthier.
