Khemphet passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 57, due to natural causes. He was born in Salavan, Laos and was one of many children to Thanh Hoangvan Sr. and Makeo Hongvanthong.
A son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, and great friend. To know him was to know he was so generous and had a big heart, despite his own situation, with willingness to help anyone in need.
Khemphet was a true jack of all trades who loved fixing things and helping others. He found joy in fishing and barbecuing with family and friends.
He is survived by his four children: Nichole (Gilberto) Pacheco; Seth Vanderella; Dow Hongvanthong; and Paseuth Hongvanthong. He is also survived by ten brothers and sisters with whom he shared a close and enduring bond. Lastly, his 3 grandchildren Devin, Gordon and Sophia; 40 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Mo, Boualay and Somlith Benh Hongvanthong.
Services will be held privately for family and friends at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery on Friday, January 23, 2026.
