Kevin Eugene Zercher, 66, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Hospice & Community Care surrounded by his family. He would have celebrated his 67
th
birthday on November 8
th
. He was the loving son of the late Eugene L. and T. Jean Zercher. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and from Willow Street Vo-Tech and retired as a Federal Inspector for a medical equipment manufacturer.
Kevin had a deep interest in music, animals, sports, history and the great outdoors. He was a loyal Phillies fan and enjoyed coaching little league in his earlier years. He also helped coach ice hockey at Penn Manor High School.
He loved playing golf and was a member of a local sportsman’s club where he enjoyed target shooting. One of his greatest attributes was his sense of humor which he maintained throughout his four-year illness. His greatest joy was time spent with family.
He is survived by three sisters, Cheryl Adamire (wife of Jim), Michele Stauffer (wife of Mike) and Tina Zercher Steele. Also surviving are six nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Jena Adamire and by a nephew, Phyonix Zercher Steele, and by a great-nephew, Chad Neiss II.
A graveside service will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park for family and friends at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at:
