Kathleen Witwer Livingston

Kathleen Witwer Livingston, age 98, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024.

Born on September 24, 1925 in Moorestown, New Jersey, Kay was the youngest of four sisters. She obtained her RN degree in 1946. Kay moved to Lancaster in 1948, having been married to Charles A. Noll, DO, until his passing in 1973. In 1977 she married Paul H. Witwer until he passed in 2000. In 2002 she married Charles Q. Livingston until he passed in 2019. 

She worked as both an operating room nurse and later as the Director of Nurses of the Henry G. Long Home. Having lived a long and fulfilling life, her most treasured times were those spent at the family’s residence in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. In addition to the beach, she loved entertaining, playing bridge, gardening, bowling, reading, attending the Fulton Theater, and traveling abroad. 

She was a member of the Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital Auxiliary, First Baptist Church, Highland Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed her membership at the Lancaster Country Club for over 50 years. 

She is survived by two sons, C. David Noll (Kathryn) and Richard M. Noll ( Pamela), six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Additionally she has two stepsons Richard Witwer (Nancy) and Howard Livingston (Connie). She was predeceased by her two beloved stepdaughters, Kathleen Peck (Mike), and Paula Hemsley. Her family and step-families enriched her life with love and many shared experiences. 

A private burial will be held at the family gravesite in Philadelphia. A memorial service will be held at the The Bachman Center of Homestead Village, 1800 Village Circle, Lancaster, PA on July 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Kay’s memory be made to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Water Street Mission, or the Fulton Theater.
