John J. Sigman, age 95, died Thursday October 26th, 2023, at Mennonite Home Communities. He was born September 21, 1928, in Strasburg, PA., the son of Daniel and Carrie Sigman.
John served in the United States Navy June 27, 1946 – April 28, 1948, as Fireman First Class Germany.
John married Evelyn M. Sigman on December 18th, 1948 they would have celebrated 75 years in December.
John retired from Armstrong Floor Plant, Instrument Shop after 43 years.
John was a loyal member of the Strasburg Lions Club for 30 years. John was a gardener, wood worker and “Mr. Fix It”.
John and Evie enjoyed travelling and had trips to Bermuda, Hawaii, Germany, Panama, and Saint Marteen Island.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Stella and Brother Daniel. My son Clifford and granddaughter Amanda.
Surviving is his wife Evelyn, brother William (Betty) and sons Dennis and his wife Deborah and son Roger. Grandchildren Steven Sigman, Florida, and Chelsa Burfield Mountville, and 9 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to a visitation on Thursday November 9th at 10:30a.m. at Woodcrest Villa Chapel 2001 Harrisburg Pike Lancaster, PA. Memorial service will begin at 11:00a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Boehm’s United Methodist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in John’s memory.

Thinking of Jack and his family. We bought our current home from him more than 20 years ago. We kept the height chart of his kids in the door jam and his desks in the basement and garage.
