John "Jack" Henry Brinker

John Henry Brinker “Jack” 85 passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1940 in Easton, PA. The only child of Paul A. and Martha C. (Folk) Brinker. He graduated from Manheim Township High School and Juniata College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. While at Juniata, he met the love of his life, Sara (Sally) McCormick with whom he was married to for 63 years.

Upon graduation and marriage in 1961 they moved to Charleston, WV. While there they became the proud parents of twins, Paul A. and Lisa J. In 1964 he took a position with PPL. He retired from PPL after 31 years of service as Lancaster Area Manager focusing on economic development.

He was active in Boy Scout Troop #41 of Landisville, Lancaster Junior Achievement, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd serving on several committees and altar assistant, and long-term member of the Lancaster Liederkranz.

He and Sally enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, and anywhere there was a beach. Family vacations included Ocean City, NJ, Hilton Head Island, SC ,and Naples FL. Other favorite activities were biking, cruising, and playing cards with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughter, Lisa J. Barton and her husband Kevin, Bluffton, SC; Grandsons; Jeffrey P. Barton, Palatine, IL and Thomas H. Barton, Chicago, IL. He is preceded in death by his son, Paul A. Brinker and his parents. Paul and Martha.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jack’s Celebration of Life Service at Woodcrest Villa, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA in the Gamber Auditorium on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
