Joanne Rohrer Caldwell Wennerholt, 88, of Pheasant Ridge, Lancaster, went to join her husband in the presence of the Lord on July 14th, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Wennerholt Sr. who passed away in 2004.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Myrtle M. Rohrer and George Kellenberger. She was later adopted and raised by Myrle M. and Max L. Caldwell.
She retired from the Lancaster Newspapers production facility in 2015 after 36 years of service.
In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross-stitch.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity EC Church in Lancaster where she was active in teaching Sunday school, organizing VBS crafts and was a member of the counting team.
She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Joanne is survived by her children Connie J., wife of Paul Flowers, of Lancaster, John C. Jr. of Landisville, David M., husband of Wendy (Row) of York, and Neil A., husband of Jennifer (Fisher) of York. She had eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Lorna G. Warfel of Millersville and Penny J. Ward of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Craig B. Caldwell.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service at Trinity EC Church, 322 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster PA 17603 on Monday, July 21st, 2025 at 11AM. A viewing will be held from 10AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at the Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Trinity EC Church.
