Joanne M. Smiley

Joanne M. Smiley, 72, of Manor Twp, passed away at home on Friday August 29 after living with Alzheimers for the past 12 years.

She was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Nellie E. (Hargan) Peris.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth G. Smiley Sr. and her 2 sons, Kenneth G. Smiley Jr, Lancaster and Kevin M. Smiley, Philadelphia.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Donald C. Peris, husband of Ethel M. (Snook) Millersville, John W. Peris, husband of Elizabeth A. of Lancaster, twin sister Dianne M. Wolf of Millersville, Karen P. McLellan of Millersville and sister-in-law Kathryn Kenderdine Peris.

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard L. Peris, Jr. and sisters: Brenda L. Peris, Linda L. Evans and Joyce E. Gephart.

The family would like to thank Hospice & Community Care for their care and support during her final few months. Also thanks to Kim for her caregiving service so her husband could get a break for a few hours.
