Joan M. Emerick, 79, of Mountville, passed away, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of John and Mary Cover Wiegand. She was married to Robert E. Emerick.
Joan worked in housekeeping at the Hotel Brunswick. She loved gardening and her 2 cats.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Joan Gentry of Lancaster; a son, Peter Pichler of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Shanea, ShayLyn, and Will; 3 great-grandchildren, Kayshon, Darnell, and Jaida; 2 sisters, Rose and Rita; 1 brother, John.
