Jeffrey David “Jeff” Somerfield
Jeffrey David “Jeff” Somerfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 9, 2020; Jeff was 60.
Jeff was born on December 13, 1959 in Lancaster city, the son of Walter F. Somerfield (deceased) and Dorothy Mae Brewer Herman of Holtwood. He graduated from McCaskey High School and he worked for the Lancaster Public Library on Duke Street and the Library System of Lancaster County as a database assistant.
Jeff is survived, besides his mother, siblings Deborah Middleton of East Petersburg, Mark Somerfield of Mountville, step siblings, Tammy Herman Shambaugh, and Jenny Herman,and John and Bob Alexander, nieces, Allison Major Somerfield, Michelle Middleton, nephews, Alex Somerfield, Charles Middleton, and great nephew, Blake Middleton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Somerfield.
Jeff’s hobby was doing genealogy research of the Somerfield and Buckwalter Families.
