Jeanne (Louise) Clark Davis, 95, passed away peacefully at Lakeside, Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023. Jeanne was born to Myra Lloyd Clark and Stewart Sandy Clark in Holyoke, Massachusetts on May 14th,1928 and raised in New London, CT.
Jeanne was married to Robert (Bob) Ellis Davis for 60 years prior to his death in 2011. They resided in Seaford, DE, Wilmington, DE, Providence, RI, Charlotte, NC, and back to Wilmington DE before moving to Willow Valley Communities in Lancaster, PA.
She was an active member at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Wilmington, DE until they moved to Willow Valley, PA in 2004. Jeanne became a Stephen Minister at First United Methodist Church of Lancaster, PA. She was very involved playing ping-pong, bridge, bowling and golf while at Willow Valley. She was also active in delivering mail and working in the library while residing at the Manor in Willow Valley.
Jeanne and Bob traveled domestically visiting family and friends, and while Bob served as the Governor General for the Mayflower Society. Family and friends often joined Jeanne and Bob while visiting their properties in Locke Mills, ME and Cherry Grove, SC. They also traveled internationally to the Ivory Coast, Trinidad, Suriname, the Philippines, Belgium, India and Thailand visiting their children while they were working overseas.
She is survived by her sister, Sara Clark Bayreuther; her sister-in-law, Ruth Blakney; her children: Carol (William) Parker, Ellen (Terry) Jackson Jr, & Clark (Jean) Davis; grandchildren: Lindsey Parker, Christopher Parker, Ken (Becka) Jackson III, Julia Davis; & great-granddaughter Harper Jackson.
Family was of greatest importance to Jeanne. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
Inurnment will be at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE at a future date.
