Jeanette Ruth Eby

Jeanette Ruth Eby, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the Mennonite Home. She was the loving wife of the late William L. Eby who preceded her in death in 2003.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Emily (Cromleigh) Habalar.

She dedicated much of her professional career as a registered nurse, earning a bachelor’s degree at age 50.

In her spare time, she enjoyed card games with friends, a lifelong love of beach travel, participating in her church and community, and treasuring time with family.

Jeanette was a former member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ, where she served as deacon, elder, and leader of the Stephen Ministry and of the Prayer Shaw ministry.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah R. Eby of Baltimore, MD, and Cynthia E. Adamire (wife of Robert) of New Holland, PA. Also surviving are grandsons, Benjamin Touval and Robert Adamire (husband of Jessica Adamire), and great-grandchildren, Sophia Adamire and Gavin Adamire.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Eagle Commons at Woodcrest Villa, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Saturday, July 20, at 10:00 AM.
