Jacquelyn A Wade Weiss, age 86 of Lancaster passed away on June 28, 2026, surrounded by family members.
Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Caroline Bastendorf Wade and Roy Wade. She was married 62 years to Thomas F. Weiss, who preceded her in passing in November 2021.
She is survived by her children, Debra A. Fausey (wife of Kevin), Tamara W Engel (wife of Kurt), Thomas F. Jr., and Erik J. (husband of A. Susanne); a sister Shirley McMenamin; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews.
Jackie raised her 4 children before pursuing a career in accounting. She worked at Atlantic Breeders Co- Op, Park City Property Management Co, ESI and for 32 years at Bird In Hand Farms where she retired. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. She volunteered with Hempfield Youth Football and was an avid reader.
She looked forward to spending time at the family cabin located in Perry County in the Fall. She enjoyed seeing musicals and Riverdance at the Hershey and Fulton Theatres and going to productions at Sight and Sound. She followed the NY Yankees since her childhood days and supported Penn State Sports.
Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00am until 11:00am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am. Final commendation for the family will follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. Luncheon to follow; to be updated later.
