Helen Mae Ament

Helen Mae Ament, 98, of Lititz, passed away peacefully in her home on July 31, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late James O. Ament who preceded her in death in 2018.

Born in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Tillie (Yoder) Fyock.

After graduating from high school, and raising children, Helen spent much of her career in publishing as an office manager for Stemgas Publishing Company.

Helen and Jim enjoyed retirement life in Pine Island. Helen enjoyed her social network through the church and public library. Helen was a member of the Nimble Thimble Quilters from Pine Island Cove. The Quilts were donated to Cape Coral Hospital, Health Park and the Methodist Church. Later Helen was able to age in place and attend Landis Homes adult care.

She is survived by a daughter Karen L. Branner (wife of Michael) of Lancaster, PA and a son James R. Ament (husband of Pamela) of Lititz, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Fyock.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
