Harold Lee Kinsey, Jr., passed away on October 31, 2025, at age 84. He was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of Harold Lee Kinsey and Dorothy (Basehore) Kinsey. He died while living at St. Anne’s Skilled Nursing, Columbia, PA. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Parkes) Kinsey, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Raised in Middletown, Hal attended Middletown High School, then graduated from Shippensburg State College with a degree in business. He immediately was hired by Nationwide Insurance, retiring after 45 years of service.

Hal played football, basketball, and baseball while in high school and college. He was an avid sportsman, both participating in and coaching softball. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and golf. He spent a lot of time at his hunting cabin, which he co-owned with five friends.

Hal was foremost a family man, enjoying his children and grandchildren. He would go to all their school activities and sporting events. He loved traveling with family and friends, especially traveling to 48 states.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Scott (Stacy) of Lancaster; his daughter, Jami (Lance) of Leola; his grandchildren, Jack, Alayna, Lexi, Jade, Justin, and Kaylee; and his brother Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Harold, and two brothers, Richard and Ronald.

Services will be held at Highland Presbyterian Church, 50 East Roseville Road, Lancaster, on Wednesday, November 12, at 11:00. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at 10:00.
