Gordon T. Kauffman, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on February 8, 2026, at Penn State Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Seachrist) Kauffman to whom he was married for 59 years.

He graduated from Hempfield High School, Class of 1961. He retired from Turkey Hill Dairy after 49 years of service as a route salesman.

Gordon served in the 103rd Medical Battalion, PA National Guard, was inducted into the American Legion Athletic Hall of Fame and was a PIAA baseball umpire for more than 30 years.

In his younger years Gordy played softball and enjoyed bowling in several leagues. More recently he enjoyed working in his yard, planting flowers, mowing the grass (whether it needed it or not), and chopping leaves (as soon as they hit the ground). What gave him the most joy, however, was following his grandson Gabriel's swimming accomplishments.

He and Joyce are active members of Faith Bible Fellowship Church.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by his children, David Kauffman (Jessica) and Kristin Kauffman (Joseph), and grandchildren Aubrey and Gabriel. Also surviving are sisters Virginia and Julia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wilbur and Fred.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 151 Donerville Road, Lancaster PA 17603 on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will occur at Silver Spring Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church’s benevolent fund at the address listed above. To leave an online condolence for the family, visit www.DeBordSnyder.com
