Gladys E Ortiz

Gladys Ortiz, 65, of Lancaster County, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 5th 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Gladys was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Sonia and Enrique Torres on January 18th 1961. She married Jamie Ortiz and had a happy 38 years of marriage but had 43 beautiful years together.

Gladys loved helping people, she worked in nursing homes as an CNA but her last 7 years she was a dedicated employee at Walmart. Gladys was an incredible woman she was outgoing, kindhearted, with a beautiful soul willing to help anyone who asked for her support. But most of all she was the most loving person you could ever meet.

She will be missed by everyone who has ever had the honor of knowing her. Gladys is survived by Jamie Ortiz, their 4 children and their spouses, her 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 4 siblings. 

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 11, 2026 starting at 11 AM, at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, located at 141 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA; with a visitation starting at 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
