Gladys Ada Carr

Gladys Ada Carr, 89, of Lancaster, died at home on Monday, October 18, 2010.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Carr who died in 1984. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Resch Schoenberger.  Gladys, along with her late husband, had operated Boxit Disposal System for many years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.  Surviving is a daughter, Kay E. wife of Paul G. Bechtold; a granddaughter, Audrey C. wife of Nathan X. Scott; two granddaughters, Rosalyn C. and Irene A. Scott. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Andy Bechtold, and by 12 brothers and sisters.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. David D. Kreider officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
