Georgine L. Bartlett

Georgine Laura Bartlett, 94, of New Gretna, NJ passed away on July 10th, 2025 at her home surrounded by caring family. She was born to Walter and Alice Mathis of New Gretna, NJ. She was a lifetime resident of our area living in both New Gretna and West Creek. She was a long standing member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Georgine absolutely loved spending time with her family, friends, and her church family. She worked as an administrative assistant for a number of years, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, playing the piano and organ, and in her later years was always out visiting the sick and elderly. She enjoyed numerous adventures over the years with her late husband Walter including trips by private plane and camper as far as California, Canada, and Alaska, she also visited Puerto Rico and Mexico. Georgine was especially known for her friendly ways and always lending a helping hand.

She was per-deceased by her parents, her husband Walter E. Bartlett, and her son Lawrence R. Bartlett. Georgine is survived by a very large loving family, sons Edward Bartlett (Lorraine) and James Bartlett (Jennifer Baker), daughter Patricia Bartlett-Courtney (Rick), daughter-in-law Diane Bartlett, 14 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren along with step great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10 to 11am with a service beginning at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church, 850 Railroad Drive, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
