Gardner L. Fassett, 94 years of age, formerly of Mount Joy, PA, passed away on December 30, 2022 at The Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara (Walker) Fassett to whom he was married to for 52 years.
Born in Chelsea, MA, he was the son of the late Gardner L. and Eva (Crandall) Fassett.
After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the US Navy.
Gardner spent much of his professional career with RCA as a mechanical engineer.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster.
He is survived by two daughters, Wendy W. Fassett of Bloomfield, NJ and Meredith C. Wachala (wife of David) of Cleveland, OH. Also surviving is his grandson, Robert. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Garrow.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29th 2023 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 29 E. Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17601. Private interment will follow at the convenience of the family in Riverside Cemetery in New Market, NH. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to First United Methodist Church, 29 E Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17602.
