Frederick J. Tinkler, Jr., 81, a resident of the Lakes at Willow Valley was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 13, 2010.
He was the husband of Kathryn M. Lebo Tinkler. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Frederick J., Sr. and Irene W. Warren Tinkler.
Mr. Tinkler was employed by Honeywell as a product engineer for 40 years. He was a member of Calvary Church where he was active in the choir. Frederick served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the National Seabee Veterans Association. He enjoyed fishing and football.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Carol L. wife of Herb Taylor of Elizabethtown, and Sharon J. wife of George Reede of Reistertown, MD; a son, Frederick J., III husband of Helene Tinkler of Broken Arrow, OK; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley wife of Pete Musselman of Jeffersonville, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Todd Nathan officiating. Friends may greet the family at the church on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Seabees Memorial Scholarship Association, P.O. Box 667, Gulfport, MS 39502 or Calvary Church Missionary Fund, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
