Earl B. Gerlach, 83 of Lancaster passed away peacefully on December 28 2023, at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Patsy Brenneman. Born in Letort, PA, he was the son of the late Ira and Helen (Frey) Gerlach.

Earl graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Poultry Science and much of his career was spent working in the sales and service with poultry producers. His employers included Frank Purdue, Longenecker’s Hatchery, Pennfield Corporation and Charles poultry. After retiring from the poultryindustry, he continued to work with his son in his business, before retiring to help others. He enjoyed helping others running errands, fixing windows, but mostly spent a lot of time in the woodshop, making toys or puzzles and different gifts for everyone. If you received one of those gifts you know the love and the care that went into them.

Earl is survived by two sons Michael Gerlach (husband of Deb) and Jeffrey Gerlach (husband of Marianne). Also surviving are five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Norman Gerlach (husband of Elaine). In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by sister Grace Newswanger and sister Verna Wiedman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Pequea Church, 40 Church Rd Lancaster, PA. 17603 on Saturday, January 6, 2024 11:00 am. A time of celebration, visitation and memories, will follow service during a light meal. Internment, will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice & Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552 in memory of the late Patsy Brenneman Gerlach.
