Doreen “Dory” Morgan, 69, of Lancaster, passed away on September 23, 2023 at Hospice & Community Care after a courageous 16-year battle with cancer.
She was the loving wife of Milton K. Morgan, III, to whom she was married for 47 years.
Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Faye (Stauffer) Bowman.
Dory dedicated her life to her family spending much of it as a homemaker.
Dory was an avid Penn State fan who enjoyed cheering for its sports teams’ especially the hockey team. Dory enjoyed spending time at their cabin with family and friends and taking walks in the woods with her dogs. She was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and baking. She also was a proud supporter of Shippensburg University where both the Makerspace in the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation and the School of Engineering were dedicated in her and her husband’s names.
In addition to her husband, Milt, she is survived by children Matthew (husband of Jessica) and Michael (husband of Jennifer); grandchildren, Vivian Bottiger, Matthew J. Morgan, Jackson Morgan and Madison Morgan. Also surviving are sisters, Darlene Charles, Jody Bracciale and Carol Ruhl. She was predeceased by a brother, Daryl Bowman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Friday, October 20

, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 140 E Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602. A visitation will be held that morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens.
