Donald L. Good, age 92, died peacefully at the Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center on Sunday October 5th. He is survived by his loving wife, Naomi, to whom he was married for the past 9 years.

A life-long resident of Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Martin H. And Viola (Gantz) Good. He attended several elementary and middle schools throughout Lancaster County and was a 1951 graduate of Penn Manor High School.

After graduation, Don married his high school sweetheart, Betty (Miller) Good, to whom he was married from 1953 until her passing in 2009. During their years together, Don and Betty lived on Columbia Avenue.

Don was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953 and served until he was honorably discharged as a Corporal in April of 1955. His service included an 18 month assignment to Trois Fountaine in France, where he was an ordnance specialist.

After his military service, Don worked fourteen years as a welder for Radio Corporation of America. He then worked three years for Herr & Sacco before joining Local 520 as a welder for the Plumber and Pipefitters Union from 1973-1995.

Don was a faithful servant of God and a member of Millersville Community UMC-Grace Campus since 1953, where he served on various committees. He was also a frequent visitor, on line or in person, of Grace Community Church in Willow Street. He was the last surviving original member of the Millersville Hunting Club, which he helped organize in 1961.

In addition to his wife, Naomi, Don is survived by his daughter Patti, wife of Rick Herring and son, Scott, husband of Dianna ( Warfel) Good, 6 grandchildren ~ Christina (Troy) Morgan, Matt (LeeAnn) Herring, Elisabeth (Garth) Rickards, Josh (Megan) Herring, Derek (Karley) Good and Ryan Good ~ and 10 great grandchildren ~ Levi, Cole & Benjamin Morgan; Matthew & Piper Herring; Elle & Audrey Rickards; Micah & Mason Herring; Harper Good. Don was a man of faith, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a loyal friend to everyone. His joys over the years included travel, visits to the mountains, hunting, snowmobiling and spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Don’s life on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Millersville Community UMC - Grace Campus, 163 West Frederick Street, Millersville.
