Cindy L. Moose

Cindy L. Moose, 65, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20th, 2023, at her home in Conestoga surrounded by her loving family, after a prolonged battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Born October 2nd, 1957 in Lancaster, Cindy was the loving wife of Donald E Moose Jr, with whom she shared over 20 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011. Cindy was the loving daughter of the late Harold E. and Nancy Lou Laukhuff (Williams). She attended the school district of Lancaster.

Outgoing, friendly and lovable by nature, Cindy worked as a server for Jay’s Supermarket for many years, where she built many lasting relationships and inevitably, met the love of her life, Donny! Shortly after their marriage, Cindy graciously transitioned into a wonderful homemaker, always ensuring the wants and needs of her family were fulfilled.

Cindy was a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church. Regarded as loving, caring and charismatic, Cindy dedicated her free time to her children and grandchildren. Annual summer trips to Ocean City, Md, going to yard sales, flea markets, hunting for bargains at various local auctions, playing spades, rummy and 31 were just a few of her many hobbies. No stranger in the kitchen, Cindy loved baking holiday cookies and the most delicious peanut butter fudge. However, nothing was more cherished than the weekly family breakfasts at Columbia Family Restaurant or The Black Olive, followed up with a trip to the local convenience store to grab a large diet coke and play her favorite scratch off lottery tickets. Above all, she prided herself in being a great wife, mother and grandmother always readily available to tend to the needs of her family and she will be dearly missed. Her unconditional love will live on through all those that loved her.

Cindy is survived by her son, Bo Moose husband of Kyera, Her daughter, Deborah Andrews wife of Keith, eight grandchildren Bo Jr. Annabelle, Donny, Devon, Dominic, Ethan, Tyler and Kodie as well as her 3 sisters Cathy Woodall, wife of Bryce, Caryn Yurejefcic wife of Marc, Connie Bear wife of the late Bob, 2 brothers, Bob Laukhuff husband of Lori and Jack Laukhuff husband of Donna. In addition to her husband and parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her two brothers Tom Laukhuff and Rick Laukhuff.

Family and friends will be received at Calvary Baptist Church, 530 Milton Rd, Lancaster, Pa 17602 on Saturday, February 4th from 12pm to 1pm for a memorial service with Pastor Winberly officiating, immediately followed by a celebration of life. Friends and extended family may greet the family from 1130am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cindy’s memory to DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St, Lancaster, Pa 17602.

So sorry to see this. She was a wonderful person. Loved when we would get together when I was at my Nana Erline house and her Gramother was my Aunt Anna. May the Lord give you all strength and comfort in the loss of her.
